How many questions should a pub quiz have?

The classic format is five rounds of ten questions, which takes about 90 minutes including a halftime break. For a shorter night, three rounds of ten works well. Keep a few tie-breaker questions ready in case two teams finish level.

How hard should pub quiz questions be?

Aim for questions where an average team gets six or seven out of ten. The questions on this page are sorted easiest to hardest within each round, so you can control the difficulty curve by picking from the top or bottom of a section.
