1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you:

• Create an account or register for our services
• Submit quiz questions or content
• Contact us for support or inquiries
• Participate in community features

This may include your name, email address, username, and any content you submit.

2. Automatically Collected Information

When you use our website, certain technical information may be collected automatically to keep the site running and to help us understand how it is used. This may include:

• Device and browser information (type, version, screen size)
• Pages visited and general usage patterns on our site
• Referring website or link (where you came from)
• Approximate location at country level

This data is collected through the analytics tools described in Section 3. Only one of them, Vercel Web Analytics, runs on every visit, because it is cookieless. The other two run only if you accept analytics cookies. We do not use any of this data to build advertising profiles or to identify you personally.

3. Website Analytics

We use three analytics tools, and they are not treated the same way. Vercel Web Analytics runs on every visit because it is cookieless and stores nothing on your device. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity run only if you accept analytics cookies in our cookie banner. Until you accept, those two are never downloaded to your browser and set no cookies.

3.1 Vercel Web Analytics (always active)

Provided by Vercel Inc., which also hosts our website. We use it to measure site traffic and performance, for example to see which pages are most useful and whether the site loads well for visitors.

What Vercel Web Analytics may collect (in anonymized, aggregated form):

• Page views and navigation within our site
• The page URL and referring site
• Approximate country (derived at the network edge, full IP addresses are not stored)
• Browser, device type, and operating system
• Basic performance metrics (such as page load speed)

What Vercel Web Analytics does not do:

• Does not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies
• Does not track you across other websites or apps
• Does not sell your data
• Does not create long-term personal profiles, visitors are identified by a temporary hash that resets every 24 hours
• Does not store your full IP address

3.2 Google Analytics (only with your consent)

Provided by Google. We use it to understand which questions and pages people find worth their time, how visitors arrive at the site, and which parts go unused. It sets cookies that hold a randomly generated identifier, so a returning visit can be recognised as the same browser.

We have switched off Google's advertising features for this property. Ad storage, ad personalisation, and ad user data are all set to denied, so this data is not used to build advertising audiences or to target you with ads elsewhere. See Google's Privacy Policy.

3.3 Microsoft Clarity (only with your consent)

Provided by Microsoft Corporation. Clarity produces heatmaps and session replays, and it is the most intrusive tool on this page, so it is worth being precise about what it does.

A session replay is a reconstruction of your visit that we can play back: which pages you viewed, where you moved your mouse or tapped, what you clicked, and how far you scrolled. It is rebuilt from those events rather than being a video of your screen, and it does not reach beyond this website. Text you type into form fields is masked before the recording leaves your browser, so we do not see what you typed.

Why we use it:

• To find pages where visitors get stuck, hesitate, or give up
• To spot layout and interaction problems on devices we cannot test directly
• To see which parts of a quiz card or question list actually get used

Clarity sets cookies to recognise the same visitor across pages of a session, listed in Section 7. Microsoft may also use the data it collects as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain our services
• Process and moderate user-submitted content
• Send you important updates and notifications
• Improve our platform and user experience (including through aggregated, anonymized site analytics)
• Ensure platform security and prevent abuse
• Comply with legal obligations

5. Information Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties, except in the following circumstances:

• With your explicit consent
• To comply with legal requirements or court orders
• To protect our rights, property, or safety
• With service providers who assist in operating our platform (under strict confidentiality agreements)

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Cookies, Local Storage, and Your Choices

On your first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Nothing in the analytics category loads before you say yes. If you reject, or simply ignore the banner, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity are never downloaded to your browser at all, so they cannot set cookies or record anything. We never use cookies for advertising.

Strictly necessary (always active, cannot be switched off):

• Account sign-in: if you register or log in, we store an authentication token in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in
• Saved questions: questions you save are stored locally in your browser unless you are signed in and we sync them to your account
• Team generator: optional cookie and local storage to remember your team setup on that page
• Your cookie choice: we record the decision you make in the banner in local storage, so we do not have to ask again on every page

Analytics (set only after you accept):

• _ga and _ga_*: Google Analytics, to tell returning visits apart. Typically expire after two years
• _clck: Microsoft Clarity, links a visitor to their recorded sessions. Typically expires after one year
• _clsk: Microsoft Clarity, groups the pages of a single visit together. Expires within a day

You can change your mind at any time, and it is as easy as giving consent in the first place. Use the Cookie Settings link in the footer of every page, or the button below. If you switch analytics off, we clear the cookies listed above and reload the page so those tools stop immediately.

You can also clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings. Doing so may sign you out or remove locally saved preferences.

8. Third-Party Services

We work with a small number of trusted providers to operate QuizQuestions.Org. These services receive only the information needed to perform their role:

• Vercel , hosts our website and provides privacy-focused Web Analytics (see Section 3.1)
• Google , for two separate purposes: Google Analytics, but only if you accept analytics cookies (see Section 3.2), and Google sign-in, but only if you choose "Continue with Google". Google's privacy policy applies to both
• Microsoft , provides Clarity heatmaps and session replays, but only if you accept analytics cookies (see Section 3.3)
• MailerSend , delivers the emails we send you, such as the confirmation email when you register an account

Our platform may also contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those external sites, and we encourage you to review their policies before sharing personal information.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:

• Access and review your personal data
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your personal data
• Object to or restrict certain processing activities
• Data portability
• Withdraw your consent to analytics cookies at any time, as described in Section 7

11. Data Retention
